Mort Smith Dog Training and Behaviour

TRAINING YOU TO TRAIN YOUR DOG

One to one sessions for general training, puppy training and behavioural issues.

Mort Smith is a Member of The British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers.  He has 33 years professional dog training experience including 25 years as a Police Dog Handler/Trainer. Since his retirement from the police service in 2006 he has been working one to one with pet dog owners to help them train and solve behavioural problems with their dogs and puppies.

Living in a ‘human’ world can be challenging for a dog. They have evolved differently to us but we expect them to seamlessly fit in to our often busy human lives. Learning how to understand them will speed up the training process. More effective communication will help you to train your dog to adapt to its human pack. It will help solve anti-social behaviour too. Traditionally, dog training is carried out from the human perspective, but it is far more effective if approached from the dog’s perspective.

Mort believes that the best person to train your dog is you. He will work with you in your home and where you exercise your dog to help you understand your dog and communicate with it more effectively.
